Clutch bearing

A "clutch" is a device that either transmits driving force from the engine to the transmission or shuts it off, without stopping the engine. Our bearings are equipped with a centering mechanism to prevent damage caused by sudden high-speed rotation during transmission of the driving force. In addition, some reduce weight by using steel plate presses for the bearing rings.

Clutches are used when a machine is operated manually for positioning, adjustment or inching. The Cam Clutch mounted at the manual handle overruns while the machine is in operation. The handle does not rotate and cause a safety hazard.

Some clutch release bearings are based on the design of an angular contact ball bearing. These bearings are made of stamped steel inner and outer rings with precision ground raceways, a polymer cage and either seals or shields and are pregreased at the factory with a high quality lubricant.
