Oil Well Rubber Body Top and Bottom Cementing Plug
cementing plugs are the most widely used plugs in the world. They are specially designed with a positive wiping action to insure clean casing.
Plugs are available in a wide variety of sizes and stocked for immediate shipment. To order, just specify part number(s) listed on charts. Special sizes available on request.
Top Plugs
The bottom section of the cup is designed to exert continuous pressure on the casing wall. The core is made of a glass-filled high strength phenolic resin core. The tapered base fits the cavity of the bottom plug for a positive seal. A solid rubber top plug is available on request.
Bottom Plugs
Like the top plug, the fins and tail section provide positive wiping action. Fins also serve as a seal while cementing. They are specially designed with a glass-filled high strength phenolic resin core. A rubber diaphragm at the top of the plug ruptures after the plug is seated allowing cement to flow through.
Torque tests of the compressed 7" Quick Drill™ wiper plug at room temperature exceeded 2000 ft lbs of torque resistance. With time and wellbore heat the bonding to the inner wall of the casing becomes greater. Quick Drill™ wiper plugs saves rig time as actual recorded drilling time for a set of 7-5/8" plugs was less than 10 minutes. easy drill high strength cement aggregate in their patented Float Equipment, assures a good combination of rig time savings plus an excellent opportunity at no secondary cement squeezing.
